(600) Vertical Fan Coil Units

Spears Mechanical Systems and Rittling delivered over 600 fan coil units to the Biltmore Hotel and Retirement facility in downtown Dayton. Project phasing was one of the challenges for this project and Rittling provided excellent services that staggered fan coil shipments to meet the phased construction schedule.

(4) Smith Cast Iron Boilers
Model 28A – Gas Fired

This project required four Smith Cast Iron Boilers to be installed in the owner's basement that was only accessible through a doorway that was too narrow for the boilers to pass through. Spears Mechanical Systems took the extra step to "break down" each boiler prior to installation. The allowed each Boiler to be transported into the boiler room and reassembled there, eliminating the need to remove doors, tear down walls or move other equipment. Our efforts translated into additional cost savings and zero frustration for the owner!

(25) Custom Vertical Fan Coil Units

Spears Mechanical Systems and Rittling delivered custom vertical fan coils whose custom features included: customized width to match the wall to wall dimensions to fill the entire void between the walls giving a nice finished appearance, hot and chilled water piping packages, as well as mounting the control valve actuators which were supplied by the temperature control contactor which saved time and reduced the overall construction schedule.

(3) RBI Futera III - 1000 - Modulating Type, Copper Fin Boilers

Spears Mechanical delivered a modulating copper fin boiler and armstrong pumps and boiler flue for this project.

Modulating boilers were used for this project to maximize energy efficiency.

(2) USA Coil & Air Fluid Cooler

Spears Mechanical Systems delivered two USA Coil & Air fluid coolers to cool 610 GPM of water with 25% ethylene glycol from 120 degrees F to 105 degrees F for a heat pump system utilized by the school for cooling.

(26) Paragon outside air airflow measuring stations for the Middle School, Park Layne and New Carlisle Elementary and High School.

Spears Mechanical Systems delivered 26 outside air airflow measuring stations with microtrans transducer and FE-1000 measuring probes. The microtrans transducer provide .5% full scale accuracy with temperature compensation and auto zero thus providing the district with very accurate and precise airflow measuring system and maintaining the highest quality of indoor air quality for the optimal learning environment.
